Welcome to the landing page for the Allendale Corner Store Co-op. Our Co-op vision is “strengthening community through local healthy food, local creations, and community ownership.” We are learning about and growing support for this food cooperative business to become a reality, but we need your help! Once we hit 300 members, we can complete a feasibility study. When we grow to 1,000 members we are positioned to begin operations. A cooperative store is voluntarily owned and controlled by the people who use it.
We hope to give you a neighborhood grocery store that is also a place that supports local farmers, food producers, local makers, and offers convenient shopping for people in the community.

WHAT IS A CO-OP?
A co-op or cooperative is a business voluntarily owned and controlled by the people who use it - its owners. In cooperatives, people work together for their shared economic benefit. Co-ops have become popular in the U.S. and globally because they help boost the local economy by keeping the business profits within the community.
